About The Author

Bruce Burns

Bruce Burns is a Perthshire based Author (and amateur historian) who was raised in Berwick. His book, ‘the Northumbrian Bonesetter’ is his first publication that recalls the life story of his 4 x Great Grandfather Isaac Milburn.

Growing up, Bruce heard numerous tales about the history of his royal summoned relative and used the COVID-19 pandemic to collate all his years of research and find a publisher. Bruce, who is also a thriving beekeeper, lives just outside Perth and travels up and down Scotland in the higher education audio visual business as a successful account manager.
